Our office represents clients from all over the world with all U.S. immigration matters, including representation before USCIS, Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals and 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
Ms. Azevedo-Husić is dedicated to immigrant rights and personally understands the challenges that immigrants face in the United States. In her early teen years, she herself immigrated to the United States as a refugee.
Before opening her immigration law firm, she practiced family-based immigration and criminal law.
Ms. Azevedo-Husić graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA. During her last year in law school, she was a Judicial Intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), in The Hague, Netherlands. During her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University, she completed her junior year at a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.
Ms. Azevedo-Husić speaks English, Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian with native proficiency and Italian with basic proficiency.
Ms. Azevedo-Husić is an active member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served as an AILA laison. She is currently the President of The Advocates, a section of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association, of which she is a member. She also served on the Board of Directors of Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County (WLSCC) from 2017-2019.
Ms. Azevedo-Husić is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
